Elsmere Canyon Fires

From 2004

There were many fires that burned in and around Elsmere Canyon over the years. Some burned through the whole canyon and some just in parts. Here are the main fires that have occured since I have been living in Santa Clarita.

2004 Foothill Fire
2008 Sayre Fire
2019 Saddleridge Fire

Part of the 2008 fire overlaps the 2004 fire and part of the 2019 fire overlaps the other fires. In general, anything below the northern extent of the 2008 Sayer fire (green line) and above the 1991 San Fernando fire (in purple) would cover Elsmere Canyon.
